On the 16th of November, the Indian Government is expected to launch an Anniversary Commemorative Stamp Issue by India Post in New Delhi.

Philippines Ambassador to India, Hon. Francisco Benedicto is expected to be part of the launch together with the officials of the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Communication and Information Broadcasting and India Post. Important dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion.

It is expected to be held at the residence of the Philippines Ambassador with a brief remark by the Ambassador and an official from the India Post.

The event will mark the unveiling of the stamp featuring the endangered marine species i.e. Donsol whale shark and the Indian stamp showing the Gangetic Dolphin.

The Philippines Postal Corporation is expected also to launch a similar commemorative stamp next month in the Philippines

The President of the Philippines recently issued an Memo Order declaring Nov 2009 as a friendship month between India and the Philippines.
