Indian national Deep Joshi is one of the awardees from the list of 2009 Magaysay awardees.
He won the award for “for his vision and leadership in bringing to the NGO movement in India and in truly combining ‘head’ and ‘heart’ in the transformative work of rural development.”

The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation is pleased to invite you all to the Presentation Ceremonies on the 51st year of the Ramon Magsaysay Awards on Monday, 31 August 2009, 4:30 pm at the Main Theater, Cultural Center of the Philippines.
The Lectures series of the awardees will be held from August 27, 2009 to September 2, 2009 at the Ramon Magsaysay Center, 1680 Roxas Blvd, Manila. Mr. Deep Joshi will speak on Friday the 28th of August at the RM center. He is the second speaker of the series of speakers. The timings are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
